A read on the system: open commitments, what's stalled, and what to focus on now.

    Backup / Restore

Your task data lives in this browser's local storage. Export weekly (or before any big change) to keep a safe copy on OneDrive. Import to restore from a previous export or move between machines.
Signs in to Google, lets you pick any Drive folder, and syncs gtd-cloud-state.json there. Each browser window can connect to a different folder — each is an independent task list. Requires running via start-gtd.bat (see your GTD folder).
    Use local OneDrive folder instead

    Focus

Actions you've chosen to work on — grouped by focus date. Set a focus date on a Next Action to plan your day or week. Calendar items (with due dates) appear on the Calendar tab instead.

    Inbox

Raw captures. Process each one: is it actionable? Single step or project? Then file it.

    Next Actions

The very next physical step on each open thread. Filter by context to match where you are right now.

    Projects

Anything requiring more than one action. Each should have at least one Next Action — projects without one are stalled.

    Waiting For

Things you've delegated or are pending on someone else. Review weekly so nothing slips.
Round-trip metadata — restored if this becomes a Next Action again:

    Calendar

Date-specific only — items that must happen on a specific day. Soft "should-do-by" stays in Next Actions.

    Someday / Maybe

Things you might want to do but aren't committing to now. Review monthly to promote or prune.

    Done

Completed actions and projects, newest first. Use the kind filter to narrow. To resurrect an item, change its status back to Next/Active via the dropdown.

    Areas of Focus

Ongoing responsibilities (not projects). Use these as a lens during weekly review to spot blind spots.

    People

The individuals you work with across projects, actions, and inbox. Click a name to see everything on your plate involving them.

    ⏱ Time Entries

Billable time logged against clients, optionally tied to a project and action. Filter below for invoicing.

    Review

The engine of GTD. Daily for tactics, weekly for strategy, monthly for someday/maybe.

    Daily review (5 min)

Run first thing in the morning or end of day.

    Weekly review (45-60 min)

The keystone habit. Block a recurring slot — Friday afternoon or Monday morning works well.

    Monthly review (15 min)

Higher altitude — areas of focus, someday/maybe, longer-term outcomes.
